ONLINE GAME ‘DEFENDING WESTHAVEN’
In this lesson you will explore and discuss the dangers of the drug methamphetamine, and the social and health consequences of drug abuse by playing the game “Defending Westhaven.”

5.1 Understand the rules of the game
5.1.1 Read the instructions
- Students work in groups of 2-4 to play the online game
- In class, students need one device per group to play
- For remote learning, the students need to work in break out rooms (in Zoom or Teams etc.). Choose one student to be in charge of operating the game. The student will need the capability to share the screen with other players.
Playing the game via remote learning
Online Game
When using the online game during remote learning, students will need to be in breakout rooms in groups of 2 to 4, with 1 student co-hosting the room. The co-host for each room will need the ability to:
- share their screen
- be the controller for the group’s game.
